Rococo Rose Birthday Chick!

Hey all. Back yet again! I'm sure my streak will end, but I'm having fun creating right now! And the weekend looks promising as the temps are going to be very low - we won't be going out much if at all! I started this card last night but ran out of steam. Rather surprised how easy it came together, and how much I like it! I woke up knowing how I wanted to finish it so I did!

Colors inspired by the weekly challenge over at Global Design Project. Honestly, my first thought was those colors probably won't work for me. But then I tried them!

My card base is Rococo Rose with a Sahara Sand accent layer behind the Oh So Ombre DSP. This is the plain one from that FREE Sale-A-Bration pack. Perfect for this card. I next grabbed the Rococo Ribbon and it went great so I knotted it around the bottom. I cut the largest Stitched Nested label from Whisper White and attached it to the background with Dimensionals. Then stamped a balloon birthday chick in Black Stazon, cut and colored it with my Stampin' Markers. It has been a LONG time since I did that, but I didn't have Blends in all these colors. I think it came out OK? I used Rococo on the balloon, feet beak and comb. Blushing on the tail and wings and Sahara on the feathers. I attached the bird to the label with Mini Dimensionals. I struggled a little with getting the happy birthday on there, until I decided to use my Basic Black marker and do one word on each side. Perfect! Lastly, a little Stella on the balloon for accent.
