This time from the retired set French Foliage. Cards, and a plate! I found this "ribbon plate" while going through boxes in my room. I used to decorate it frequently, changing with seasons or occasions at the house. It got put away many years ago and forgotten! I happened on some wide ribbon the other day and inspiration hit!
The plate is by Southern Living, and I purchased it at a neighbor's party when we lived in Lincoln, over 20 years ago. I'm excited to have it back out. The ribbon colors looked like Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Garden Green. I grabbed the inks, French Foliage and the alphabet set (don't remember the name) and went to town! Love how it came out!! It has landed in a permanent position in the basement and will get a Christmas update right after Thanksgiving :)
While those inks and French Foliage were on my desk I made four backgrounds with the leaves. A few days ago, I finally made them into cards! Here are two versions, click the pictures to enlarge and see if you can see the difference!
Do you see it? One background is raised, one is recessed. I ran the backgrounds through an embossing folder and did them different ways. Depending on the folder you can get very different looks! Some may not work but this one did. I like them both ways! I layered the background on a Rich Razzleberry base and knotted a satin ribbon around. The "thank you" is from a retired set themed thank you. It is stamped is Razzleberry and layered onto Garden Green, attached with dimensionals over the ribbon.
Four more cards for the "stash!!". Thanks for stopping by!!
