Days 2 & 3 Christmas

Back to Christmas! I'm caught up for today, posting 2 & 3 now, will do 4 in the morning and hope to get 5 done sometime tomorrow! So fun to dig and look at options to create with :)

Day 2: Deck the Halls.

I did two because I wanted to see the different shapes! This set, Ornamental Keepsakes has several ornaments and dies that coordinate so I did "3D ornaments". I stamped and cut 3 of each, scored a line down the center and attached the 3 together. Basically, there is one in the center, that you see in the pics, and there is another on each side! We had another set that was ornaments with a coordinating punch - I did alot of these back then! Click HERE to see one of them and the description of how I did it, maybe it makes more sense than what I just typed!

Why Baja Breeze? Because I found glitter (chunky glitter, not fine!) that said it was Baja Breeze! Card base is Baja Breeze, ornaments stamped in Baja Breeze. I did the glitter with Sticky Tape, we don't have that anymore, but I imagine the Tear &Ttape would work, or Stampin' Seal or Seal + but you would need a steady hand to get a straight line!!

I did the glitter on each at 3/4", using my Grid paper to set it mostly straight! On the top one, it seemed a little plain with just the glitter and ornament, so I dug out some small, dotted circle stamps and made a background. The 2nd one has a little bit of texture, but it isn't showing well! Used a "line" folder. Accent layer on each is Basic Gray and sparkly ribbon is knotted around the top of the ornament.

The greeting on the top one is from a recent, but no longer current set, Seasonal Tags. The bottom one is from Warm Words.

Day 3: Santas Workshop

I don't have many Santa stamps! Not really sure why. But I do love this one and it has a fabulous tree too, and a Santa face. Old Fashioned Christmas. I'm not a fan of coloring though. I considered it but would likely still be there and missing dinner! I flipped through some DSP and found this awesome piece in an old pack. The other side are quite patterned and geometric almost, but I love this plaid! Cherry Cobbler card base and the print is mostly that. I can't tell if it's a green or CrumbCake in the pattern, but I like it!

I cut a Basic White with the Textured Notes die. Stamped the rectangle from The Shape of Things at the bottom in Crumb Cake and then added the saying at the top and Santa over the rectangle in Cherry Cobbler. Took a stamp positioner and some patience but I like the result! Accent layer of Crumb Cake, base of Cherry Cobbler. Awesome Cherry Cobbler with Gold trim ribbon for a pop!

Thank you for stopping by today!
