Star Birthday

Howdy all! Hope to get back to the Christmas challenge today, but first here are some Birthday cards using the Shining Stars dies! Still available, still just $5 with a $75 purchase (US). So fun!

I went through and found some current DSP. I have boxes of old/retired, but very little that is current. And partly because they don't stay current very long! Anyway, these use the Violet Dreams pack. Such pretty colors and a great blend! My apologies the pictures aren't great, colors are not as vivid as in person. My usual picture setup didn't work; the lines completely went away!

Colors are Secret Sea, Peaceful Pine, Gorgeous Grape, Fresh Freesia. Top two have Gorgeous Grape card bases with Peaceful Pine accent layer. Bottom one is Secret Sea with Fresh Freesia. I pulled out my Simply Scored board which I have not used in forever! But what an easy, quick accent to add score lines! I measured the star (approx 2") and decided I needed lines at about an inch above and below. The tool has measurements, so it was super easy to put the white layer down, score at 1 and 3, and then add one more line just outside those!

Happy Birthday is from the previous POM set Fabulous Sayings. Accent in the center star is from the Violet Dreams Suite -Adhesive Backed Blooms. So pretty! I've struggled to find a good use for them, but this works perfect! Unfortunately, they are on the Last Chance list so get them soon!
