Painted Harvest Color 3

Happy Monday all! Yes, I know there isn't such a thing :) Here is another creation with the most recent color challenge from SU! I told you I liked them! This was in my mind to try before the French Foliage one and the colors work as well here as they did there!

Remember we have Pretty Peacock, Pool Party, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. This is the Painted Harvest set flowers with a saying from Rooted in Nature. Familiar layout again!

You all know this is a favorite set for me, and as I say frequently, SO Many Color Combos will work with it!! Card base here is Early Espresso, accent layer of Pretty Peacock behind a (Shimmery, non SU!) Vanilla background. I stamped the flowers first, Pool Party for the "background" petal, Pretty Peacock for the "center" petal, Early Espresso for the Flower center and dots and Crumb Cake leaves. Thinking of you also in Early Espresso. Random dots some full strength, some stamped off once. Linen thread wrapped around the left side and knotted. Edge sponged lightly with Crumb Cake.

Quick and easy! Thanks for stopping by again today!! Product details and shopping links below!

Painted Thinking

A new color combo with a favorite set and card layout! Red is not a go to color for me, but every once in a while...

Created for the challenge of the week at The Color Throwdown. #ctd589

Red, Black, Gray and White. In SU! Colors, Real Red, Basic Black (Memento ink), Smoky Slate and Whisper White. Painted Harvest set with saying from Rooted in Nature. I've done several of these cards before in a variety of colors. I had the set out for the most recent SU! Color Challenge, which I will share in a few days but I wondered if it would work for this too. Really wasn't sure if the black would be too much for the flower centers. I don't think so and really like how it came out! Card base is Real Red, Basic Black accent layer, Shimmery White background. Flowers were stamped with Smoky Slate as the "background" petal, Real Red "center" petal, Black center with dots over and Smoky Slate leaves. Also dots randomly around in varying strengths of Black and Real Red. Thinking of You in Black as well. Real Red (retired) narrow ribbon.

Thinking Merlot

That sounds a bit like wine doesn't it :) Imagine that coming from me!!

Here is a card I'm sending this week to someone who's been a bit down. I was hoping for cheerful and I think I got that. Not bright, but happy I hope!

Painted Harvest is back! I literally flipped my ink storage around looking for inspiration on this one, and settled on Merry Merlot. I wanted to do this layout like the previous "Sorry" ones I did. Thinking of You is from Rooted in Nature and the largest I could find. Still have some wood background DSP sitting by the desk so grabbed one of the lightest. I am running out of options for this type card, the ones left are mostly dark! The stamping is done directly on the wood DSP. Background of the flowers is Crumb Cake, inside petal in Merry Merlot. Center is Early Espresso, leaves Mossy Meadow. Random dots and center flower dots in Merry Merlot. Card base is Merlot, accent layer of Early Espresso behind the DSP. Linen thread accent on the side. Fairly easy and very soft and pretty! I should have made two, may not want to mail this one!!

Rooted in Nature Fall

Hey, all! Back again :) Weekends at home are awesome!!

When I haven't stamped for a while I always start by browsing some of my favorite challenges. The color challenge at The Color Throwdown CTD567 caught by eye. Fall colors are also my favorite! Here is my card

based on their challenge of Teal, Olive, Rust and Navy. Stampin' Up! Colors are Bermuda Bay, Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Night of Navy.

Card base is Night of Navy, accent layer of Bermuda Bay. Background is Very Vanilla that I stamped four different leaves on, one in each color. Took me two tries to get it where I liked it. My random is out of practice :) Copper trim is wrapped around the center and the top accent is a 2" circle layered onto the Starburst punch in Bermuda Bay. Pretty quick and easy to do! Thank you for stopping by. Shopping links and product details are below.
