Beautiful Daffodil

Hey, all! Back again! Liking my new routine :)

This one features a set that is in the Occasions Catalog, Beautiful Day and the Stampin' Blends again. This time in Daffodil Delight.

I started with the flower and stamped it on Shimmery White Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored with Daffodil Delight, light and dark. Old Olive on the leaf and a little Smoky Slate in the center, over the light Daffodil. I like to start by coloring the entire image with the light color, then adding dark for accents, or maybe using the lifter to lighten a little. No lifter used on this one thought. I cut the flower out and attached to the card background with Dimensionals. The card base is Daffodil Delight with a Basic Black accent layer behind a Shimmery White background. I stamped the Happy Birthday at the bottom and added a Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon. Over the center of the flower I added some Stella. Very pretty, yet fairly simple!

Thanks for stopping by again today. I'll be back soon. Let me know if you have any questions! Product details and shopping links below.

Dragonfly Berry JAI #398

More stamping!! Fun, fun, fun!!

Tonight I browsed a few challenges before heading up to the stamp room. This color challenge from Just Add Ink inspired me! Sometimes color only is a challenge and this one proved to be, as two of the three colors here are essentially neutrals. That leaves ONLY Berry Burst! Here is what I came up with using Dragonfly Dreams and a few other things!

I started with the background and went with a collage look using stamps from Dragonfly Dreams, Timeless Textures and Touches of Texture in Sahara Sand and Berry Burst on Whisper White. The edges of this layer are sponged with Sahara Sand. After stamping, I ran the background through the Big Shot using the Sparkle Embossing Folder. Next, I knotted a Berry Burst ribbon around, cut a Dragonfly out of Berry Burst and stamped the saying in Berry Burst on Sahara Sand. The dragonfly has a coating of Wink of Stella glitter and is attached with dimensionals.

Remarkable You Coral

I'm back!! and on a mission to keep this going! Having fun and hoping to keep the creativity flowing!!  Came up with this one all on my own, no challenge required :)

My goal was a card to send to a friend who's birthday I missed recently. Secondary goal was to use my Stampin' Blends. Remarkable You was an easy choice! To determine the color, I looked at my blends and chose a Happy color... Calypso Coral!!

Coloring is not something that comes naturally to me. Not soothing or relaxing like some say. But I'm trying to do it more, especially with the NEW Stampin' Blends! They are pretty awesome!!

Card base is Calypso Coral with an accent layer of Basic Gray behind the background DSP in Calypso Coral from the Delightful Daisy pack.

I stamped the flower in Tuxedo Black Memento on Thick Whisper White cardstock and colored with my Light and Dark Calypso Coral markers and used the Color Lifter to lighten a few areas. I like it! To finish, I went over the colored areas with the Wink of Stella glitter pen. LOVE!! The flower image is mounted on an accent layer of Basic Gray. Last accent is the 1/8" Sheer Calypso Coral ribbon that is knotted around. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach this layer. The saying is also stamped with Black Memento directly on the DSP. Inside says "And I'm so grateful for you".

Thank you for stopping by!! Be back SOON!!

So Soft Painted Harvest!

Hello all! Remember me? It has been FAR too long since I stamped, but I'm hoping to be on a path of change! I have a workshop booked the end of the month so I now HAVE to stamp!! That always works well for me.

So, here is my first creation. No surprise that I reached for Painted Harvest. Actually, I didn't even have to reach as it was on my desk. I had browsed a few challenges and found the current color challenge at the Color Throwdown to be very inspiring. So away I went with #ctd482! Here is my card

and the challenge that inspired it.

Pink, Craft and Gray equates to Powder Pink, Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate in Stampin' UP! colors. Love the soft look these colors created! The card base is Crumb Cake with an accent layer of Powder Pink. Background of Whisper White was stamped with the flower, leaves and accents. I stamped the background flower in Crumb Cake twice rotating 180 degrees between the two. Same with the next layer of the flower in Powder Pink. The center was once stamp of Powder Pink and then the dots in Smoky Slate. I filled in with the leaf in both full strength and stamped off once and then added some pink dots also some full strength and some stamped off once. I sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and tied a Powder Pink 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon around the Whisper White before attaching. The saying is stamped on Whisper White in Smoky Slate and punched with the Pretty Label punch. The edges were sponged again with Crumb Cake and Powder Pink dots added. I created a layer by punching two more out of Crumb Cake, cutting in half and attaching behind.

Thank you for stopping by today! I will be back soon!! Product details are below and links to my online store.
