Quiet Thanks

Hey all, back again! I was playing with thank you card ideas the other day and this is one I came up with. Unfortunately, it has a retired set on it- Watercolor Shapes for the rectangle (sorry, my room is a hot mess!!!). There are several ways to get a rectangle like this background though. Think stamp block like my previous card, or cut a rectangle die and use that!

Card base is Crumb Cake, accent layer is Copper Clay (nice new color!!), background Very Vanilla. I stamped the rectangle from Watercolor Shapes in Petal Pink center of the background, then the flower image over that in Copper Clay. The splatter image was stamped off once in Crumb Cake and then onto the background around the image. I grabbed my Wink of Stella and added some Petal Pink ink to the flowers so they sparkle. Center of the flowers is a Copper Clay Gem. Ribbon is also Copper Clay and knotted around the back under the thanks rectangle. The thanks is from Biggest Wish, the rectangle from the Deckled Rectangles die set.

Foliage Thanks

Hey all, hope you are staying in and warm! The weather here in Nebraska is absolutely frightful! Super cold and lots of blowing snow. I've had two awful drives to down this week - I don't recommend it!

We are staying productive and continuing to work on purging our house. Big job, but it will make moving later this year so much easier! The stamp room is one of the worst parts but I'm slowly making progress! And I have been stamping here and there!!

To share today I have two versions of a thank you note I made this fall. My father passed away and the task of sending these fell to me. I couldn't bring myself to use the ones the funeral home game me, I had to make my own! I reached for an old favorite, French Foliage and came up with these!

I also grabbed some older cardstock - trying to use up things that have been hanging around! I actually wish we still had these, just for variety. The top is Naturals Ivory, and the bottom Naturals White.

Same card and layout, different colors. The top is a Natural Ivory base, Early Espresso accent layer. The Ivory background is stamped with a clear block (Block E) in Crumb Cake and then leaves over in Early Espresso, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie. The ribbon is a retired natural type that went perfect with these colors!

This one has a Natural White base with a Gorgeous Grape accent layer behind the Naturals White background. On that I again stamped Crumb Cake with Clear Block E and then leaves over in Gorgeous Grape, Crushed Curry and Garden Green. Another retired ribbon, this one in Gorgeous Grape.

The "Thank You" on both is from a current set, Inked & Tiled.

Thanks for stopping by today! I will be back, in addition to all the purging and sorting I have been mailing some birthday cards. I don't like to post those ahead of when they are received so it will be a bit. Let me know if you have any questions!! I do have some new things on the way too :)

2024!

Happy New Year all! 2024. Wow!! I'm working on getting organized for the year and that led me to start my desk calendar! 3 months done, more to come! Hopefully before I 'have' to have them ready :)

I used the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks that I recently decided I had to have before they retire. They are still available as of this morning but *GONE* after the 3rd. Item 162331, $10.50. There are 7 masks, 4 layer together for the Sunflowers and there are three other backgrounds. Sunflowers! Now you know why I needed them!!

Here are my first 3 months!

Blending Brushes and daubers used. The masks have a "marked" corner so you can line them up. I used sticky notes to hold them in place while applying ink. Colors here are Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie ink all on Very Vanilla Cardstock. My month names and accents are from a previous Paper Pumpkin it. The month dates were printed on cardstock and cut out by hand. Retired Daffodil ribbon on this one.

This one is Poppy Parade with Real Red centers. Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie again for the center, leaves are Granny Apple Green.

And March is Parakeet Party with Granny Apple Green. Lemon Lolly centers with Crumb Cake.
