Something for Everything!

Paper Pumpkin December 2019!! It has been awhile since I shared one of these kits. Probably because I haven't fully completed one for awhile but here is this one!! And BONUS!! Read all the way through, then pop over to my Facebook page if you'd like to try THIS kit!!

OK, a walk through of the kit and creating process! At the bottom, check the story for your chance to win a kit to try!

We start with the arrival of the box! Love the color of these. Happy Mail at it's BEST!!

Occasionally they vary these, but this is the basic!!

Next, open and see what is inside! First glimpse is always light blue tissue and the stamp and ink spot.


Under the tissue is the "kit". Shrink wrapped supplies, instructions, generally with a card board base.

What you see there on top is the instruction sheet. Always a color picture on top, product details on the back and step by step instructions inside.


Open the kit and see all the pieces!!

This one had 12 card bases, 12 envelopes, die cut tags for the sayings, adhesive die cuts for card details, rhinestones, dimensionals and gold die cuts!!

A closer look at the stamp set. Two pics follow because the words are placed several different ways. If you need more details, please ask and I'll list them all. Stamped sayings I chose. I opted for sayings I knew I would send the cards with. Just Because. Happy Birthday. Congratulations. Hey, Friend.


I have many extra of these to use on other cards!! And finally, the completed cards!





Lots of fun! I kept them pretty basic, and like the samples and instructions indicated. Not a have too - every month there are variations out there! Creativity at it's best!!

OK, now for the rest of the story! These kits normally ship around the 12th. They delayed them just a bit in December. And then, Holiday mail issues. Mine didn't come, and didn't come. Tracking showed it was "stuck" in Omaha. I finally contacted Demo Services and they sent another. Guess what! About 3 days later the original showed up. So, I have a FULL, untouched second kit. Many Poppies!

Hey all! More Poppy cards! I saw something similar on Pinterest and had to give it a go! There are several versions here, all basically the same so I'm going to put them all in one post. Here is the first one. 


Colors are Basic Black, Whisper White and Poppy Parade. Concept here is like the Triple Time stamping we've done here several times, but this is only two layers. So I cut all the layers, then lightly attached the two sheets of Whisper White together and stamped the Poppy flower in two steps. Background blot in Poppy Parade, over with the Poppy in Memento Black. Turns out this is one of my slight OCD triggers -lining up that image made me crazy! I ended up grabbing my Stamp-a-ma-jig for the flower and testing on scratch paper the best way to go together. I'm happy now, they are all similar! When you initially stamp these you will get some ugly edges. But when you put the layers together, they disappear. Try it :)


The card base is Basic Black, with a Whisper White background layer. The top two layers are cut with the Stitched Rectangles dies. See that stitched edge?? I added some sequins (Pearl from the Basic set) for an accent. Oh, and the saying is from Peaceful Moments.


Similar but different flower and sequin placement, more white edge.


This last one I decided to try something different, and I don't hate it. After stamping the flowers I picked up the large splatter image and went between most of them with Poppy Parade ink. What do you think?? Building up my stash of birthday cards. Hoping to get lots mailed this year! Four went today, including two of these.

Poppy Birthday

Morning all, hope your Monday is off to a good start. I'm off and running!! Have some shares coming up this week, spent some time stamping yesterday. Hope to spend more time there this week! January has brought ugly weather with very cold temps, snow and ice so time is best spent inside!!

Here is a bright and cheery card using the new Peaceful Moments Bundle which is the Poppy Moments Dies and Peaceful Moments saying set. The second bundle in the Peaceful Poppies Suite!


This is my first attempt with this die set, and I don't use many like this, at least not often. This came out OK, but needs contrast. Need to play with different colors and see what works together! Primary color here is Poppy Parade. As I've said many times, red is NOT my thing but I do like Poppy Parade! Card base is Poppy. Background is the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate from the Holiday Mini Catalog. I'm a little late on getting to using that! I put Whisper White behind it so the open areas pop. Flower is cut from Poppy Parade in two layers with a Basic Black center. Broke out my fine tip glue pen, maybe for the first time too :) Happy Birthday is from Peaceful Moments and the tag shape it is stamped on is from the Painted Labels die set. Painted Poppy Textured Weave Ribbon is tied around the acetate.

Petal Poppies

Hey, all! Happy Tuesday! Hope yours was good, mine was a little crazy. Not adjusting well to the new year I guess. Here is my first creation with the Painted Poppies set. While looking around for a color to play with, this Petal Pink ribbon caught my eye, so I ran with it!


Card base is Petal Pink, accent layer of Mossy Meadow. Very Vanilla background that I stamped in Petal Pink with the Crackle Paint background. I used the Stitched Nested Labels dies and cut two, one in Very Vanilla, one in Mossy Meadow. I stamped the Poppies in Memento Black on the Vanilla, then over stamped with the splatter image. Over the flowers in Petal Pink, over the stems in Mossy Meadow. Love that - you will see more :)  Thank you from the Peaceful Moments set was stamped lower left in Memento Black. The Petal Pink Organdy Striped ribbon was knotted around the base layer and the Nested labels attached over with dimensionals. For accent on the flowers I grabbed the Shimmery Crystal Effects and went over them all!

Pretty quick and easy, except for letting the Crystal Effects dry :)  You all NEED this set!!
