Thoughts & Prayers Club Card 1

Had club on Sunday-it's always one of my favorite days of the month!  Even if I was up too late the night before and figured out the projects Sunday morning!  I work best "under pressure" and I was pleased with how they all came out!  My hostess had asked for Sympathy, so this is the first card we did.  I was going for a masculine feel, and I think I got that.  But it would also work for a variety of other occasions, and in many other colors!

Card base is Dusty Durango, background layer is Soft Suede textured.  I really only used the textured because I didn't have any regular (or not that I could find anyway!!).  But I like the look it gives and how simple.  If I hadn't used textured I probably would have looked to a background stamp of some sort!  The Top Note is cut from Naturals Ivory cardstock.  Stamp set is Thoughts & Prayers.  I first inked the tree image with Creamy Caramel ink.  I then thumped the leaves with Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango & Soft Suede.  Verse is stamped with Dusty Durango & the edges are sponged with it as well.  Vintage brads are added at the points for the final accent.
