Rooted in Nature Wash

Happy Monday all! I for one was glad I could leave the house today! Another snowy weekend kept us home! Very cold today though so it was a quick trip for a few groceries.

Workshop for Sunday was postponed so I won't be sharing those creations yet. I worked a little over the weekend though and here is one creation. The Color Throwdown had another great color challenge! Here is my card

based on the challenge below of Rust, Purple, Gray and White. Stampin' Up! Colors are Cajun Craze, Gorgeous Grape, Smoky Slate & Basic Gray.

I started this Saturday, then got distracted by basketball and snow. Helped shovel Sunday am and was wiped out the rest of the day! Errands, laundry etc today so just squeaking in before they close the challenge! Hopefully.

Watercolor wash. I stamped the leaves Full strength Grape, once off. Full strength Smoky Slate, one off. Full strength Cajun, once off. All on Shimmery White and then spritzed with water and walked away while it dried. Today I picked it up, added the saying in Basic Gray. Knotted the ribbon around and mounted it together. The ribbon by the way is the Whisper White Flax from the Occasions catalog that I colored with my Cajun Craze Blend. Top layers are mounted with dimensionals onto the Cajun Craze base. Final accent are Pearl Sequins.

Thanks all for stopping by! Shopping links and product details below.
