Biggest Wish Birthday

Hey all, the roll continues! Started these last night and just finished in time to squeak into the Color Throwdown challenge of the week, CTD653!!

Stamparatus fans - check this out! So fun - it has been awhile for me and I love how these came out! And, my brain is spinning with other color options!!

Pink, Orange, Yellow and Green. In SU! speak, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green.

I've seen some great cards with this new set Biggest Wish. I paired it with Positive Thoughts. Using my Stamparatus for the large birthday and small happy and the hinge technique. Perfect alignment every time :) There was some cleaning involved with the different colors, but if you place same size cardstock in the same place you're all good! LMK if you have questions on that! These colors are GREAT together and I'm glad I decided to give it a whirl. So bright and happy! and fairly quick. I added that same ribbon at the bottom, the Black with glitter. Perfect touch and only extra needed!

Old to New: Island Triple

Hey all! Happy Wednesday! Pretty glad to still be going to the office so I know which day is which! I have a few of these to share, what I like to call Old to New. When I was doing stamp events regular I always prepped the cardstock and always had a few extra. I dug into several the other day and started creating! Here is the New version of the first, a Triple Time card using Island Indigo.

and the Original Version

If you like this, the current Pretty Peacock color is VERY close to Island Indigo! Original colors were Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive. I grabbed Pear Pizzazz this time and stuck with Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo. The card base and accent layers are Island Indigo, background Whisper White. Set used, Positive Thoughts. 3 flowers in Indigo, 3 butterflies in Daffodil and accents with the leaf/stem image in Pear Pizzazz. Ribbon a retired Daffodil Delight!

I stamped up 3 or 4 of these, put it all away, then found another whole packet so guess I'll be revisiting! Glad to be getting cards done, really need to put some in the mail!

Thanks for stopping by today! Back soon :)

Positive Purple

Morning all! Started to put this set away the other night but one more idea popped into my head. I've seen a sketch that was similar, and a card on Pinterest with a different flower. I picked Purple, imagine that!

Two versions, very similar. Different saying. Card base is Whisper White, background is thick white. Accent layer of Gorgeous Grape. I stamped the 3 darkest flowers first in Gorgeous Grape. Then added two each of Highland Heather and Purple Posy. Saying to the side, one Thank You and one Birthday. I've been trying to use this ribbon since I got it and never liked it with anything! This one I do though!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hoping to stamp this afternoon and stay off the computer so my guys have good internet. Hubby working at home due to snow chances and college boy doing homework! Product details and shopping links below.

Positive Triple Challenge

Hey, all! Happy Tuesday :) Days are starting to run together, and I'm still working. Had Friday off for Good Friday though, so I was home 5 full days!! Probably should have spent more time in the stamp room but didn't make it up there until Monday afternoon. But it was a good afternoon! Here is another card that fits the first Stampin' Up! Color Challenge. Coastal Cabana and Mango Melody!

This popped in to my head after the first 3 challenge cards with Positive Thoughts. Seemed like it would be a good fit and it was. Colors are Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana. Triple Time - remember that?? Easy but awesome result! Please see this post with layer details if you need it :)

I stamped the Hugs saying from Positive Thoughts in Coastal Cabana on the center white and then added flowers. Mango Melody first, Coastal Cabana next then filled as necessary. Remember when doing this technique do NOT freak out when it looks bad when stamping. Adding the layers is like MAGIC!!

Thanks for stopping by today! Several other projects in que, so check back. and hopefully I'm back in creating mode :) Product details and shopping links below.

Positive Thoughts Color Challenge

Hey all! Hope you are doing well and staying well! Ok here, but not stamping much. Just haven't really felt like it, but today I made myself go upstairs and here are 3 cards I just whipped out!

I mentioned on my Facebook page last week, or more likely the week before that Stampin' Up! is issuing a color challenge each week to help us #keepstamping. When I shared the second one this morning I realized I wasn't doing a very good job of keeping stamping! Here is the first card and the challenge colors.

The challenge includes using any or all of the above colors. Terracotta Tile, Grapefruit Grove, Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay. Stamp and share! I have the challenge on my Facebook page, you can upload in the comments. Or if you're on the web, share the link here in the comments. Tag it #keepstamping

The stamp set I grabbed for these today is Positive Thoughts from the Mini Catalog. We all need many positive thoughts right now! This first one uses Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody and Bermuda Bay.  The leaf/stem image is Coastal (some full strength, some stamped off once), flowers Mango, butterflies Bermuda. Card base is Bermuda with a Mango Melody accent layer behind the Very Vanilla background. I stamped the background and then put it through the Big Shot in the Subtle Embossing folder. Click to enlarge, it is subtle. Reminds me of the old "textured" cardstock. The saying was stamped in Tuxedo Black on a piece of Very Vanilla and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next up we have Terracotta Tile, Coastal Cabana and Grapefruit Grove. Very similar but turned the other way.  Stem/leaf image here is Terracotta Tile, again some full strength, some stamped off once. Flowers Coastal Cabana and butterflies Grapefruit. Again textured with the Subtle folder. Card base is Terracotta Tile, accent layer of Coastal Cabana and background Very Vanilla.

Lastly, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Grapefruit Grove. Dropped the leaf/stem image lower on this one. Coastal Cabana, some full strength, some off once. Daffodil Delight flowers, Grapefruit butterflies. Subtle folder again. Accent layer Daffodil, card base Coastal.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope to see your creations :) Stay in, stay well and #keepstamping!! Product details and shopping links below.
