Positive Triple Challenge

Hey, all! Happy Tuesday :) Days are starting to run together, and I'm still working. Had Friday off for Good Friday though, so I was home 5 full days!! Probably should have spent more time in the stamp room but didn't make it up there until Monday afternoon. But it was a good afternoon! Here is another card that fits the first Stampin' Up! Color Challenge. Coastal Cabana and Mango Melody!

This popped in to my head after the first 3 challenge cards with Positive Thoughts. Seemed like it would be a good fit and it was. Colors are Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana. Triple Time - remember that?? Easy but awesome result! Please see this post with layer details if you need it :)

I stamped the Hugs saying from Positive Thoughts in Coastal Cabana on the center white and then added flowers. Mango Melody first, Coastal Cabana next then filled as necessary. Remember when doing this technique do NOT freak out when it looks bad when stamping. Adding the layers is like MAGIC!!

Thanks for stopping by today! Several other projects in que, so check back. and hopefully I'm back in creating mode :) Product details and shopping links below.

Heartfelt Triple Time

This was my first card for the workshop last weekend. The hostess requested the set Heartfelt Blooms and when I sat down to play, Triple Time was what popped into my head. Here are three versions

Why 3? To show you how much difference a slight variation can make! Remember that Triple Time means stamping all 3 Whisper White layers at once. The sizes of those are 5-1/4 x 4, 4-1/4 x 3 and 3-1/4 x 2. Center them with just a touch of adhesive to hold. Then stamp with all three layers together. I stamped the flower image four different times, starting top left. The middle one was left much more open with more white space while the other two are much closer. The top one uses the Happy Birthday from Stylized Birthday. The other sayings are from Heartfelt Blooms. Bermuda Bay is the color of ink and cardstock. Ribbon on the bottom two is also Bermuda Bay from the FREE Shimmer Ribbon Pack.

Heartfelt Blooms is a FREE Sale-A-Bration set and it is NOT to late to get it! Or the ribbon, or many other great FREE products!! Product details and store links below! Contact me with any questions!

Painted Harvest Triple Time!

One more Painted Harvest! While watering flowers Saturday morning, I decided I needed to try pink with this set. I've seen several I decided that were then done pink combos but I'm not sure any with this exact combo. I also saw a sample using the Triple Time technique which I have always liked. So, I put the two together and this is what I came up with.

Sorry the scan is a little wonky-the bow didn't work well with my flatbed scanner! Colors are Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Suede and Garden Green. For this technique you take the 3 pieces of (in this case) Very Vanilla and lay them down together. I use a bit of adhesive to hold them together because I stamp all 3 at the same time! I stamped the saying first in Soft Suede. Then I did the flowers, added centers, added some green stem images, then some dots and leaf images stamped off once. I sponged all the edges with Soft Suede before attaching to their Melon Mambo piece. The sizes of the Very Vanilla are 2 x 3-1/4, 3 x 4-1/4 and 4 x 5-1/4. The Melon Mambo are 1/4 bigger each way for all 3. Well, the base is the card base folded. Let me know if that is as clear as mud and you need me to try again! One hint with this: don't decide if you like it or not until you put all the layers together. I really wasn't all that impressed until the accent layers went on and I put it all together! The Burlap Ribbon was the perfect accent to finish it all off!

Thanks for stopping by today! Next time I will try a different set!! Hopefully back soon, but no promises! Lots on the agenda for this week! Product details below.

Club Card 1: Triple Time French Foliage

I was browsing around for ideas last weekend, and stumbled upon the Triple Time technique by Dawn Olchefske at DOstamping with Dawn. I've always liked Dawn's creations and this technique is just awesome! Simple, yet WOW!! Watch her video and you'll be stamping away in no time!! Just imagine all the stamps that will work with this! I chose leaves because I'm very over Summer and ready to move on to Fall. My girls mentioned snowflakes, flowers, bunnies/eggs for Easter, and more!!

OK, here is the card we made at Club.

This is also one of my favorite Fall sets and color combinations! Elegant Eggplant, Tangerine Tango & Daffodil Delight. Oh, and don't forget the Crumb Cake splatters :)

The sizes of the layers:

Very Vanilla               Eggplant
2 x 3-1/4                   2-1/4 x 3-1/2
3 x 4-1/4                   3-1/4 x 4-1/2
4 x 5-1/4                   4-1/4 x 11 (base, folded to 4-1/4 x 5)

Line all 3 Vanilla layers up, attach gently together, and stamp. I started with the larger leaf in Elegant Eggplant, then the medium (fat) leaf in Tangerine Tango and lastly the small leaf in Daffodil Delight. We also stamped the saying first on the lower corner of the top layer just so we didn't end up with a leaf right there. After the leaves are stamped, go over it all with the splatter image in Crumb Cake. I stamped some full strength, some off once. Basically, ink and stamp twice before inking again.

Attach your largest Very Vanilla to the card base, and each of the smaller Vanilla's to their coordinating layer, and then together. Before attaching to the base, add a Tangerine Tango ribbon across both layers with an Antique Brad accent. Attach the entire element to the base with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Awesome isn't it??!!?? Thanks so much Dawn for this great idea! I hope to find time to play this week and try out a few other sets with this technique!!

Thanks for stopping by today!!
